New Year's Eve in Rimini promises to be extraordinary, with the return of the Concertone in Piazzale Fellini , enriched by the exceptional presence of Biagio Antonacci . On December 31st, the city will be transformed into a magical stage, offering a mix of exciting events between the sea and the historic center . The live concert 'Tutti a Rimini' by Biagio Antonacci will start at 10pm in Piazzale Fellini , an imposing stage between the winter sea and the roundabout dedicated to Lucio Battisti. Antonacci will retrace the songs that have marked his thirty-year career, becoming true milestones of Italian song. The show will reach its peak at midnight, with the fireworks that will paint the sky of Rimini with evocative multicolored embroideries.
By popular demand, the evocative sand nativity scenes will return from 8 December with fascinating new features. In Torre Pedrera , the sand and metal nativity scene , organized by the local tourist committee at bathroom 65, features extraordinary metal creations by Lu Lupan from Mutonia . In addition to traditional works of art created by sand sculptors, metal sculptures represent symbols of environmental sustainability , promoting reflection on protecting the planet . The metal structures, coming from Mutonia's artistic community, transform inorganic waste components into fascinating works of art .
In Marina Centro , the classic Neapolitan sand nativity scene, on the free beach, celebrates Love with sculptural groups up to 3.5 meters high. Created by an international team of artists, it depicts daily life at the time of the birth of Jesus , with characters, artisans and shopkeepers enlivening the festive squares. In a difficult period, the nativity scene transmits a message of Love, Serenity and Joy . Entrance to the nativity scenes, also open on 2 and 3 December with sand artists at work, is free. Experience the enchantment of these unique works of art during the holidays.
New Year's Eve in Rimini is an explosion of extraordinary events that embrace the heart of the historic center . The New Year's Eve program features over 7 parties in as many squares and spaces , culminating in the exciting spectacle of the fire at the Castle in Piazza Malatesta . This extraordinary show, enriched by more than a thousand lighting effects, transforms Sigismondo Malatesta's Renaissance castle into a symphony of fires, colored trails and intermittent fountains, all synchronized to the rhythm of the music. The evocative choreographies and special effects will involve the public in two performances, at 00.30 and 2.00 , creating an unforgettable night .
The whole city will join in this show, immersed in a musical carpet that embraces all sounds, from the pop-jazz and swing rhythms of Kelly Joyce in Piazza Cavour to the vibrant rock sounds of the Velvet Club&Factory and the Satellite Rock Club in Piazza Malatest a. Each place, from the square to the theater, will offer a unique artistic and musical experience.
Also in Piazza Cavour at midnight, the hosts of Radio RDS 100% Grandi Successi , Roberta Lanfranchi and Claudio Guerrini , will be followed by the Paradiso Reunion with the DJs of the historic Rimini club such as Gianni Morri, Max Padovani, Paolo Nhe, Michelino & Paolino , the violinist known for performances in the best clubs in the country Mark Lanzetta , percussionist Davide Ruberto who performs with his electronic instruments in the best Italian and European clubs.
The fun will begin in the late afternoon with the New Year's Eve 0-12 , an opportunity for the little ones and families to celebrate with entertainment, fire eaters and jugglers .
Rimini's New Year is also the New Year of Culture , with a series of initiatives that will accompany the candidate city as Italian Capital of Culture 2026 at the beginning of the new year. An eclectic and engaging experience, embracing a variety of shows and entertainment at different venues around the city.
At the Sala Ressi of the Galli Theater , the evening offers a combination of jazz and dance with the live concert of Black Coffee Roaring , accompanied by the dance school The Stompers . The magic of the Theater begins with a Videomapping show in the auditorium, creating a unique atmosphere that captures the gaze with enveloping lights and sounds.
At the Teatro degli Atti , the celebration takes place with Hola Latinoamerica , a celebration of Caribbean and South American rhythms with dances and shows that include salsa, bachata, tango, samba fogo and capoeira , animated by the Grancaribe Rimini group. Rafael Nunez 's DJ set adds a vibrant touch to the event (from 10pm, free entry).
The City Museum offers a toast of art with classical music, presenting Agnese Contadini on the harp and Filippo Mazzoli on the flute for a journey through nuances and sounds inspired by ancient Greece. The traditional midnight toast adds a touch of elegance to the party.
“Coast to Coast, from the Adriatic to the Pacific” is the title of the event at the Domus del Chirurgo , with the group Nashville & Backbones taking the audience on a musical journey from the Californian west coast to Road66, up to the United Kingdom and Ireland, with tributes to the Italian singer-songwriters De Gregori and De Andrè.
The courtyard of the Gambalunga Library will be illuminated by dynamic projections and suggestions of lights & sounds , adding a touch of magic to the atmosphere.
The New Year of Culture continues with extraordinary evening openings and museums open for free from 9.00 pm at Palazzo del Fulgor, Teatro Galli, Domus and Museum of the City , allowing everyone to immerse themselves in art and culture to celebrate the new year in a unique way.
The Galli Theater opens 2024 with the opera “Tosca” by Giacomo Puccini . The City of Rimini Lyric Choir and a prestigious cast perform under the direction of Maestro Massimo Taddia and directed by Riccardo Canessa. The shows are scheduled for January 1st at 5.30pm and January 2nd and 4th at 8.30pm.
